Davey's birthday today and we hung out at The Monterey Bay Aquarium on our way home from Carmel. The boys had a great time touching sting rays and seeing the sharks, scuba divers and sea otters - we even saw live ones frolicking in the bay outside the window during lunch. We had a surprise chocolate mousse birthday dessert for Davey with a candle... the detox starts tomorrow (seriously!). The weather was glorious and, being a Monday, the place was really quiet. For the first time, I can say that a Californian museum is better than its Melbourne counterpart!
